Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the Identivra identity wallet, verifiable credentials, and identity verification that resists artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

For individuals

Your identity is the set of attributes that describe you — your name, your age, your country of residence, whether you hold a valid driving licence — which you can show to a third party when you need to prove who you are or that you meet a condition. Each attribute carries a different level of trust depending on who asserts it: you stating your age is not the same as the civil registry asserting it. Your physical documents are one way of showing those attributes, but they are easy to forge or steal, and a photo of a document is trivially copied. Identivra gives you an identity wallet so you can hold those attributes securely and present them along with the evidence that they are genuinely yours.
